4 Weeks And Counting!

We are 4 weeks out!!!  Hard to believe, isn't it?  I heard from our Tour Director (TD) earlier this week.  His name is Giuseppe and he is from Rome!  I have also spoken to our tour coordinator and she has told me that it looks like we are with one other group who is from California.

Please remember that I would like to have everyone's $80 in tip money by next Friday so that I can get it exchanged for euros after school that day. It takes anywhere from 48-72 hours to make the exchange and I do not want to wait until last minute to do the exchange. In addition, please double check to see if you have a remaining balance with EF Tours for the trip and make sure that payment arrangements have been made.  Thanks!

February 28th is our Departure meeting - our last meeting before leaving!!  I would like to start the meeting at 5 that day in my classroom, 249 at Burges. I realize that a 5pm start time cuts it close in terms of getting out of work, but whenever you can get here will be great! :)  I know that this meeting will run a bit long, but I want to make sure that everyone's questions are answered and that we go through all departure/travel details necessary.

Please share this blog location with your family and friends who are interested in following us during our European adventure. I will be posting on it daily to keep everyone stateside of our goings-on.

I hope you all have a fabulous 3 day weekend!!!  A presto!!

Mes voyageurs!!  We are less than 6 weeks out and the time is going to fly by!  I hope that you are all as excited as I am.

A few deadlines that I have for you:

  • Please get those passport photo page copies to me ASAP - this covers us for any "just in case" scenarios that we may encounter during our travel
  • Please get your $80 in tip money to me by Friday, February 22, 2013 - I have decided that I am going to convert our tip money this time to euros and I will need time to do the exchange
Reminders:
  • Call your banks and credit card companies to notify them of our travel plans. Give them dates and places where we will be travelling so that there are no money issues along the way.
  • Verify that any banking cards (debit or credit) will work in France, Italy and the 90 minutes that we are at the Madrid airport
  • You are allowed 1 piece of checked luggage per person and 1 carry-on. Whatever you bring, you carry
  • Be sure that your 1 checked piece of luggage does not exceed 50 pounds
I would like to have one last "Departure" meeting with everyone on February 28th at 5pm (or whenever you can get there). It will be a longer meeting because we will discuss any and all last minute issues that may arise. If you think of any questions that you would like to discuss at that time, please let me know and we will have it on the agenda.
